Sports Media Consultants is a public relations firm that specializes in preparing young athletes for all types of media interaction. Our unique media training seminar, conducted by industry professionals, provides athletes with the tools necessary to effectively interact with the various types of media they will encounter as their careers develop.
SMC has trained hundreds of elite athletes representing all 20 teams in the Ontario Hockey League as well as teams in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League and Western Hockey League. In working with clients like Octagon Hockey, Orr Hockey Group and the Kingston Frontenacs we have provided media training to numerous 1st round draft picks from the OHL including 2011, 1st overall pick Aaron Ekblad and 2012, 1st oveall pick Connor McDavid. In addition to our work with major junior athletes, we have also provided training for several NHL draft picks including 2010, 3rd overall pick Erik Gudbranson.
